Trends of 2014 in online
In recent years, the field of "Content marketing" has experienced remarkable growth. It has now become a very valuable tool for the online environment and for webmasters.
According to uberflip.com, the trend in creating quality content is steadily increasing. If in 2013 no less than 92% of marketers used Content marketing, 60% of websites will increase the budgets allocated to this sector.
At the same time, the importance of this new field has led to the emergence of a new job in large companies, namely the Content Director. This new position also implies the existence of a dedicated department. The trend is for this new job to be introduced in more and more companies, regardless of their size or profile. This specialist offers a unified strategy, relevant and unique content, but can (and must) become an authority in the field.
Another trend, which has already exploded, is the adoption of a strategy for mobile devices. In many countries, as is the case in Romania, there are more mobile phones than inhabitants. Even though not all are smartphones at present, in a few years there will only be such devices. Tablets are added to phones, mobile devices that tend to increasingly take the place of laptop computers. Therefore, optimizing websites for these devices is crucial.
The year 2014 also means the implementation of strategies for the systematic organization of content on a site, blog, or forum, so that any user or visitor has the possibility either to organize their own content (on social networks like Twitter or LinkedIn), or to benefit from much better organization on the targeted site.
Another element that has been strongly manifested in recent years and continues at the same pace in 2014 is the involvement and assumption of voices, of specialists in the field. Just as visitors look for quality content, websites will also start to hunt for the best content creators, journalists, or storytellers. Google already allows articles to be claimed with one's own name, so voices have already begun to be recognized and sought after by large companies.
