What SEO is and how it helps us in developing an online business has been discussed and there is no need to repeat it here. Instead, we aim to talk about what search engine optimization means in terms of the timeframes in which tangible results are observed.

Many entrepreneurs and people launching a new website invest time and energy into this site and online presence, but expect actual results to appear within a few days or weeks. How long does it actually take for SEO activity to start showing its effects?

Google

The answer to this question is extremely difficult to provide. The results of the optimization process depend on many factors, such as: the type of SEO practiced, the strategies employed, the volume of work and the amount invested, the type of site, the industry it comes from, as well as the history of the site and the respective domain. With so many factors, it is impossible to establish a general timeframe applicable to all sites. The period varies and is different for each site.

Generally, after 6 months noticeable differences begin to appear. However, this does not mean it is a universally valid timeframe, nor that SEO should be abandoned if the desired results are not seen in a short time.

For results to be seen faster and for search engines to properly check and index the site, it is necessary to work on on-site optimization as well as off-site optimization. Google's crawlers, for example, access the site depending on how often it is updated. The focus now is also on content quality, the interest it generates, and how it is linked online.

Search engine optimization is an absolutely necessary activity, it is no longer a secret. Even after reaching the proposed objective, these promotional efforts should not be stopped but continued to maintain the obtained results and to keep the occupied position.

SEO is therefore a long-term process that must be carried out consistently. Regardless of the nature of the business or the site, optimization is essential, and results will not be delayed. Depending on the targeted keywords, competition, allocated budget, and market and online trends, the expected results may take longer to appear. Nevertheless, the wait is worth it.
