Your online presence can be - and is - influenced by the quality of the images on your website and social media. The quality of the photos and images used is therefore an element that must be taken into account and worked on continuously.

Images attract the attention of your visitors and lead to their sharing, along with the content, across various channels.

Originality

Images, just like texts, must be original. Have you noticed that new photos always appear online, or older photos or images that are modified and slightly "colored"? These are attractive to people because we are interested in everything that is new and more "shiny".

Studies have shown that about 20% of content is shared by 80% of those who come into contact with it; in other words, only one-fifth of images end up being widely shared, the others being unattractive and uninteresting to visitors. For our photos to be among these 20 percent, we must follow a few simple ideas that make them original.

"How to" images or how something can be done

In almost any field, there are various procedures or techniques used to create or develop an element or something complementary to the basic products. For example, in fashion, there are many possibilities to make and develop new elements: how to make jeans with applications or cuts, how to arrange your scarf in 24 ways, how to braid hair, etc.

To create these types of images, you need to photograph the process (or take screenshots, diagrams, or drawings), explain them with a short text, and post them. It is best to create a blog article and integrate them gradually. Fields very suitable for this type of presentation are: clothing design, interior or exterior design, fashion, health, food industry, technical sciences, IT&C, etc.

Quotes

Yes, it is no longer a secret: images containing a quote are in high demand and are shared on social networks. Whether famous or not, belonging to personalities, taken from books or movies, they must be inspirational, convey a message that reaches people and motivates them to share it with acquaintances.

Tips or advice

People are always looking for solutions to current problems. Whether they realize it or not, these problems are common, and their solutions can come from less usual places, such as an image on a social network or an article on the internet. Choose inspired images, not necessarily directly related to the subject, but with an overlaid text that answers clearly and concisely to a specific problem.

Checklists or verification lists

In our busy world, people cling to any help they can get. If this help is simple to use and implement, then everyone will take advantage of it. Therefore, you need to create checklists that gather and contain elements not commonly found. It could be a meal plan, a 6-step plan, or any other list that can prove useful.

Be consistent

Regardless of the content you choose to present or the images selected, you must stay on the same line and publish consistently. People appreciate this and will then look for you just to see what you have published and share it. So be consistent!
