Habits help us organize ourselves and follow a certain pattern, without which we would not be able to achieve the same results. Whether we talk about habits related to the morning routine, or if we have the habit of taking a half-hour walk in the evening before dinner, all are created over time and prove their usefulness and beneficial effect on our health and spirit.

Habits can also become our allies regarding daily work activities, including online marketing and promoting our website, blog, product, service, or business.

1. Write an article

Yes, it may seem complicated, and for many, writing an article involves a very large consumption of time and energy, which we do not always have. In reality, with a little practice and a carefully thought-out plan, writing an article does not take more than an hour. You need to have the idea outlined in your mind some time beforehand. For this, you must pay attention to everything happening in your field of expertise, analyze events, know what is sought after and what is unknown, so you can provide the answers.

As I have said every time, writing an article is not just about communicating already known and circulated information, gathered in a 500-word text. An article, blog content must be of quality, have at least 700-800 words, and contain elements of novelty, either regarding the information itself or the form, approach, terms, and interpretation.

Therefore, to write a quality article, one hour will never be enough. But if you write for an hour every day on an article, you will easily get at least 2 articles per week, but extensive, well-documented, and interesting texts.

2. Refresh an old article

You might wonder why we should go back to old articles and modify them… the answer is simple: Google takes into account how updated a site is, how old the article or content it displays is. Even if the texts and information have a nature that does not “go out of style,” they still need to be slightly refreshed and reformulated to be supplemented with the latest changes. To update an older article, you can follow these steps: reformulate the introduction and conclusions, introduce a link to a newer, fresh site, to current content, replace a paragraph with a new one, reformulate some sentences. That’s about it. After that, the article can be promoted on social networks and other specific portals.

By updating an article every day, you give the site a fresh feel and, at the same time, have more opportunities to attract new visitors, new links to it. And it does not take more than 15 minutes a day.

3. Post a link to an article on all social networks.

Search engine optimization increasingly depends on the interaction the site enjoys on social networks. Moreover, the more traffic you attract to the site from social networks, the better search engines will appreciate the site.

Duration: 5-10 minutes

4. Join forums

Actually, it is not enough to just join forums; you must be active within them. You should not spend more than 10-15 minutes on these platforms, but the time spent there must be used as efficiently as possible. Do not spam, do not comment just for the sake of writing and leaving a link to your site, but actively participate in discussions where you can answer questions or add completions or examples from your own experience. These will also bring traffic to the site, and that will be perfectly fine.

10-15 minutes a day is enough!

5. Respond to posts addressed to you on social networks. And not only

When you post on these networks, people will start commenting and possibly asking you various things. You must respond politely, concisely, and friendly. Without attacking, scolding, or deleting unfriendly comments. Beyond these mandatory aspects, you must also be active regarding other posts, from other pages or sites. This does not mean you have to criticize the competition. You should interact with those pages and sites that are in the same field as you, that may inspire you or could be clients, without being invasive or too obvious. If you share, retweet, or +1 on Google, they will notice you and, slowly, you will be able to enter into dialogue, they will look for you, and you will become friends. This way, you can build a good reputation without taking major actions. You can spend about 15 minutes a day this way. It is enough.

If you manage to make these habits, if you practice every day and persevere, these actions will become easier to do, consuming even less time. You will improve, write faster, better, have more ideas, and meet wonderful people.

Although at first it will probably seem like tiring and demanding work, without immediate results, over time you will achieve what you want: quality traffic, recognition, good reputation, a solid site with quality content.
